Best Answer: Yes, because the trial is the whole thing. There are just a few restrictions placed on the trial account. They are removed once you upgrade.

To create an account requires an authentication key. The keys are one time use only, so while you can use your friends disk to install the software, you cannot use their key.
To upgrade from a trial account you will need to either buy the game for an authentication key or you can purchase a key during the upgrade process.
Upgrading from your account management page does require a credit card and costs the same as buying the game, you just dont get the disks, book and other things that come in the box. Some trial account restrictions can take up to 72 hours to be removed, though they can take shorter time as well. One restriction that is removed immediately is the ability to level past 20.
Upgrading your account by purchasing the game is also done from your account management page. Your software will have an authentication key included (usually on the CD/DVD sleeve. You enter this key when its asked for. Upgrading by buying the game removes all trial account restrictions immediately.
Once you have successfully completed the account upgrade process, you are then awarded 30 free days
